My beginnings in photo retouching started in the early 70's, when I joined the junior staff of one of the country's best known professional labs A .H .Leach. This was when all retouching skills were learnt over a number of years. I was fortunate enough to be taught by many fine artists that were working there at that time. The "apprenticeship" complete, by the late 70's I was the Head Artist, running a busy dept dealing with all aspects off retouching, commercial and social. Over the years many new skills have been required to keep up to the ever changing needs of the profession. The advent of digital methods has been by far the most revolutionary and interesting.

I have been using Photoshop now for many years, combining my past knowledge of retouching to best advantage along with the many skills needed to produce artwork of the standard that some of the top professional photographers in the country require and have used to win regional and national awards.

I have found that in dealing with the professional their specific needs are best served by being able to discuss each job directly with them. I am now offering that personal service direct to the photographer.
